Hanna Byrne graduated with a BCL (International) in Law with History from University College Dublin, Ireland. She is currently completing her Masters in Crime and Criminal Justice at Universiteit Leiden. Hanna’s interests include the practical application of the criminal law – especially in a global context – the historical development of international criminal law and gender and women’s studies. She has studied international criminal law in depth while at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin under Prof. Dr. Gerhard Werle, Prof. Dr. Martin Heger and former judge of the ICC, Prof. Dr. h.c. mult. Rene Blattmann.
