Thomas Weber has worked for the Europa Institute at Leiden University since January 2015. He studied law at Leiden University and Uppsala University, and obtained his LL.M. in European Law at Leiden Law School.
Thomas’ research focusses on Economic and Monetary Union law from a constitutional perspective. Other areas of interest include the role of national parliaments in the EU, the principles of subsidiarity and proportionality, the internal market, and the area of freedom, security and justice. Thomas also teaches several courses at Leiden Law School, including Introduction to European law and EU Internal Market Law.
