Tim van Lit is a graduate from Leiden Law School, where he received his Bachelor in Criminology in January 2015. He wrote his thesis on the contextual and situational influences on judicial decision making (sentencing) in criminal proceedings. During his studies he took part in several international study trips and he was involved in multiple councils and boards, amongst which a chairmanship of the Leiden Law School Study Association for Criminology Corpus Delicti (2013-2014), and board member of the Leiden Law School itself (2014-2015). The combination of all these activities made him particularly interested in the interdisciplinary study of equality and human rights, decision making and leadership, and international relations and politics. As an MSc student in Criminal Justice, these themes form the focus for his studies, research and writing.
