With expressing his inaugural lecture on 23 November 2012 Jan Adriaanse is officially accepting his appointment as Professor of Turnaround Management at the Leiden Law School.

In his inaugural lecture questions will be addressed such as what is the real reason for companies getting into difficulties? Is it really necessary to save failing companies? And although General Motors was successfully bailed out by the American government in 2009, was it a good decision in retrospect?
