Alejo Fernández Martín

Alejo Fernández Martín is a PhD Candidate in European Criminal law at the University of Strasbourg and a Guest Researcher at Leiden Law School. His research focuses mainly on a comparative study of Spanish and French counter-terrorism legislation and compatibility with European law.

He obtained his LLM in European Criminal law from the University of Strasbourg in 2016. Before moving to Strasbourg, he achieved his LLB in Public law at the University Complutense of Madrid in 2014. He also obtained the Human Rights Diploma from the International Institute of Human Rights (Fondation René Cassin) in 2018.
