Laurens Hillen obtained his bachelor’s degree in Law from Leiden University in 2013. During his bachelor he followed several courses at the University of Florida, USA. Currently, he is doing the master’s specialization Financial Law at Leiden University. Master students in Financial law followed the course ‘Practicum’ under the supervision of Prof. M. Haentjens, Prof. R. Raas, Prof. W. Rank and V. Caria (LL.M). As part of the course, students were asked to write a blog text about a judgment by the Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (College van Beroep voor het bedrijfsleven) on the matter of the legal duty of listed companies to make public price-sensitive information.
