Frederik Behre

Frederik Behre is a PhD candidate at the Europa Institute at the University of Leiden. His research focuses mainly on the legal feasibility of European fiscal integration in the context of the still prevailing Eurocrisis. In particular, his research assesses the diverse legal limits imposed by EU law as well as national constitutional law with regard to European fiscal integration. The working title of his PhD research is: ‘A European Ministry of Finances? Charting and Testing the Legal Limits to European Fiscal Integration’

Frederik obtained his LL.M. in European Law from the University of Leiden in 2016. Prior to his legal education in Leiden, Frederik accomplished his LL.B. in IP and IT law at the University of Hanover (Germany) in 2015, including an annual study exchange to the University of Lapland (Finland). During his studies, Frederik undertook inter alia an internship at the German Embassy in Paris.
