Jessie Pool is a PhD researcher at Leiden Law School. Her research focuses on directors’ duties in the vicinity of insolvency and the enforcement of these duties by the insolvency practitioner. By statistically analysing bankruptcy reports and by interviewing insolvency practitioners, she aims to get a more thorough understanding of the insolvency (cause) investigation. She is particularly interested in empirical legal studies and is involved in teaching (empirical) research methodology.
