Khomeini’s invention of theoterrorism
On February 14, 1989, Ayatollah Khomeini issued a death sentence on Salman Rushdie because, in Khomeini’s opinion, Rushdie had criticised Islam’s sacred icons. Khomeini introduced a new terrorist tactic, “theoterrorism".
