In December the Children’s Ombudsperson published the Children’s Rights Monitor. This monitor presents an overview of the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in the Netherlands in the last five years and also looks at the future.
This month the third Children’s Rights Monitor has been published. The analysis shows that the best interests of the child are not always taken into account as a primary consideration in decisions taken by the Dutch government that affect children.
